This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I will definitely be back! The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their catfish filets were especially amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I’m so glad we have a spot like this in Covington; good Southern soul food is hard to come by, and this place really hits the mark!

I ordered the fried shrimp and had cheese grits and fries and cornbread. The food was very good and flavorful did not have to add any condiments. The cornbread was so sweet wish I had more. Will definitely be back to try more of their food another time.

The place is so cute and the food is really good. There is a bit of a wait, but it is WELL WORTH IT! I suggest the fried green tomatoes and fried okra. That okra is the bomb! sooo good. The ladies there are always kind and helpful.

Nine of us decided to have dinner here after a wedding rehearsal and we all enjoyed everything ordered. I personally had the pork chops w/ black eye peas, rice and gravy, and cheesy grits. The pork chops were lightly seasoned but expertly prepared. I naturally mixed the peas and rice together and was happier for it. Elea J's is truly wonderful and worth checking out.

The food there are so home cooking meal that once you eat it... your taste bud remind you what your mom / grandma would cook. Every meal is like a holiday. As an actress / photographer... I always look for home cooking BC I'm never in the kitchen long enough to actually cook a home cook meal. Tell Chef Elea that Molly the actress say, "Hello."
